Here's another great Homemade Weight Machine build.
Lou Wozniak from HowToLou.com has made a superb instuctional video packed with information for building a DIY Weight Machine. Most of the materials for this could be from a recycled source, but can also be bought cheaply from a hardware store.
Lou builds this weight machine in a very small room in his basement, but with some adaption I could see this being built in the corner of a garage or shed as the weight slider fits inside stud walling.
I would also recommend checking out some of Lou's other Youtube videos, Lou certainly has developed some serious DIY skills (building a fireplace is one of his achievements!)
